Through POBPOF, Abstract Lifestyle seeks to create understanding and dialogue specifically around issues regarding criminal and social justice. Whether it be conversations on the school-to-prison pipeline or police accountability, the conversations are facilitated by those who have an introspective look into the criminal justice system.

This includes dialogue with current and former employees of criminal justice agencies, as well as with those who have been previously incarcerated. It is important to gauge as many perspectives as possible as in order for us to better mitigate future situations, we must understand what is going on with all parties involved.

Ultimately, the “correctional” system has done less correcting and more corrupting as over 60% of released individuals are likely to go back to jail or prison at some point in their lives after release. Over 80% of incarcerated individuals will return to the community and will share trains, buses, schools and workplaces with us. It is important that they be in the best state of mind, as well as criminal just personnel as it is a revolving door of mental welfare that needs to be took into account all around.

Professor Cabrera is very passionate about criminal justice. He loves his students and gives good advices. He cares more than just grades but will provides you all the requirements tools in criminal justice mainly in policing. He wants everybody to success more he is funny. I will definitely miss his class.
